Europe Bound

I sit at the airport as I am writing this post. Two months ago, I quit my job, moved home to Seattle and now I am off on the next adventure,  Europe Bound.

Check out my post titled, New Opportunities which describes quitting my job.

My time in Seattle has flown by! It has been great to spend time with family, see old friends, get introduced to the vast music scene (Thanks Scotty!), ride my bike, and reflect on what life is all about (which I am still trying to figure out).

The last two days I have spent acquiring last minute items and packing. It came down to the wire as I left home at 11:08am and I was packing to the last minute… Duffle bag or backpack? two pairs of shoes or three? This or That? I managed to back everything in a duffel bag and a mid-sized backpack. Yesterday, I bought a new pair of jeans, 1 pair of cargo shorts, swim shorts, an international converter/adapter and a 1 TB external hard drive. Well… now, either I have it or I don’t. Either way, I will have to figure it out.

After arriving to the airport and checking in, I found out that my flight does not leave until 3:30pm. Originally, I thought that it left at 1:30pm. It is better then arriving late! I am flying via Icelandic Air which I hear is a sweet airline to fly with. I will follow-up with another post on my review. I am flying from Seattle, WA to Reykjavik, Iceland. I will have a short layover and then I am flying to Amsterdam, Holland. My father is from Holland and has a lot of relatives that live there. The last time that I traveled to Holland was roughly 10 years ago so I am excited to visit!

I arrive to Amsterdam tomorrow and will be traveling to Naaldwijk about an hour south of Amsterdam to stay with my cousin Chris. I have 10 days to stay in Holland. I will keep you posted on my Europe Bound adventures!
